Our story complicated that I was fearful of being mom-like, let alone a mom. The fear was because of my own expectations and possible judgments of what a “good mom” does/is. I was being invited into a personal healing journey I’m not sure I would have chosen. And I was determined to show up for her as best I could. So, the healing journey began.
